Candy

Giant Candy!  Size matters and the artists of Smoking Monkey Studio understand that.  4 foot long bags of Skittles,  4 foot tall peppermint patties, boxes of Lemonheads and Good n Plentys.  Whatever you come up with we can make a giant version of it for you.

Tuscan Villa

For an event at the Bellevue in Philadelphia we transformed their ballroom into a Tuscan Villa. We handmade 8 foot tall and 12 foot wide homes and store fronts.  15 foot tall trees were brought in an used as centerpieces.

Philadelphia Skyline

Smoking Monkey Studio, for an event at the Philadelphia Art Museum, brought the center city skyline indoors!  We created these 8 foot tall replicas, of iconic buildings, from downtown Philly.  Actual photos of the building were taken and then transformed into what looked like architectural renderings.  They were then blown up and printed on vinyl.  The buildings were lit from inside and then incased in a clear plastic.

Giant Popcorn!

For an event a few years back we made giant junk food!  We made 5ft long hot dogs, larger than life candy and this 4ft tall popcorn box with large pieces of foam popcorn spilling out the top.  This same prop idea was also used for an Academy Awards event.  This prop is also perfect for kids parties, movie premieres, carnivals and fundraisers.

PNC Nightmare

Halloween with PNC bank.  We transformed the ballroom at the Lowes hotel into a mad scientists nightmare.  Books of spells and potions, bottles of poison and magical tonics, and piles of bones were all hand made by the artists of Smoking Monkey Studios.  

Disney - 6ABC parade floats

For the last few years the event professionals at Smoking Monkey Studios were hired by Disney and 6ABC to maintain, repair, paint and occasionally redesign and reconstruct Thanksgiving and New Years Day parade floats.

Bat Mitzvah

We love Bar and Bat Mitzvahs!  Life size video game characters, fairy tale princesses, larger than life perfume bottles, retro telephones, giant candy and more!  Here we made 3 feet and larger, 3d replicas, of our clients favorite candies. 

Welcome to Paris

This prop was made for the Union League of Philadelphia's Fall Ball.  For this French themed event, we recreated multiple French landmarks including this 20 foot tall, glowing windmill with rotating, illuminated blades.

Head Start Event

This event was at the Bellevue for PNC bank.  It was in conjunction with Head Start for PNC's Growing Up Great program. All the books that appeared in our centerpieces were donated to Head Start Philadelphia. 

The Popular Shop

The Popular Shop is an art installation created by Smoking Monkey Studio artist Atom Gunn.  This mobile Pop supermarket takes soup cans and branding to a new level.  During its brief show in Olde City it received rave reviews and was a featured exhibition in Icon magazine.

Union League

12 foot tall rocketship center pieces for a NASA event at the Union League of Philadelphia.  Because of budget limitations we couldn't make them move, light up or take off but we really wanted to do at least 2 of the 3.

PNC Event

We have worked, on and off, with PNC Bank for years.  We did this event, the night Obama got elected.  It was an election day themed party, at the Terrace Ballroom, for their Quarter Century  Club.  

6ABC set design

A few years ago, Smoking Monkey Studios was asked to help design a set for 6ABC.  They were creating a teen, interactive, talk show and wanted a "hip" set.  Whenever anyone uses the word HIP you know you are in trouble.  After much back and forth, this is what we came up with.  The show lasted about two days.
